Working Groups
Housing Working Group
The Housing Working Group has been working for over a year, steering development activities and working with our Community Land Trust consultant. Members of this working group have diligently functioned as advocates as they work to support vulnerable homeowners and turn blighted homes into affordable rental and homeownership opportunities for existing residents.
Education Working Group
The primary focus of the Education Working Group is the Youth Leadership Program. The Youth Leadership program, formerly known as our Millennial Board, will be piloted at Perry High School during Flex lunch periods. Students will learn the relevance of civic duties such as voting and managing taxes, being an active community member, developing self management skills, and subsequently learn how to run/participate in meetings, give brief speeches, plan a social event, and implement a community service project.
Events Working Group
The Events Working Group brings individuals together for more comprehensive planning and implementation, building off of partnerships in the community. The events will relate to all areas of our community plan such as beautification of open space, public health, public safety, transportation and mobility, and arts/cultural preservation. Events we have hosted in the past includes: Fineview BBQ, Fineview Step Challenge, Harvest Festival, Unity Corner Ribbon Cutting, and Corner of Hope Ribbon Cutting.

Did you know?
We have a new Five-Year Affordable Housing Plan! Check it out:

Just a year after completing our Community Plan, Fineview and Perry Hilltop Citizens Councils (FCC & PHCC) decided to work with planning and development consultants to create a strategic, prioritized, data-driven plan for preserving and meaningfully expanding the neighborhood's inventory of affordable homes. This Five-Year Affordable Housing Plan is a road map for achieving that goal.

We are still collecting community surveys and will continue to go door to door to get more feedback from our neighbors, which we will incorporate into our community plan. Make sure your voice is heard. Click here to fill out the survey!
