Our 27th Annual Step Challenge will take place Saturday, October 8, 2022, 8:30 a.m. Join us for the FULL 5 MILE Challenge or a 2 MILE VISTA WALK. Participants will ascend Fineview’s hills, trails, streets and staircases & experience extraordinary views along the way!

About the event
The purpose of the Step Challenge is to promote the neighborhood with its amazing view, interesting vistas and easy access to Downtown, sporting and cultural events. This is the primary fundraiser for the Fineview Citizens Council to be able to offer unique programming to its community and to support beautification efforts of the neighborhood. The challenge has historically been an all volunteer lead effort to show how a small community can rock an adventure. Among the steps are Pittsburgh’s STEEPEST stairset (371 steps) on Rising Main Avenue which is the equivalent of a 17-story building!. The course covers 12 public staircases for a total of over 1,600 steps and provides breathtaking views along the way!
