Through Partner 4 Work and the Learn & Earn program, Fineview Citizens Council and Perry Hilltop Citizens' Council hosted youth from the Northside and around the region to gain experience as youth leaders & stewards. Youth had the opportunity to engage with leaders within the community and across the City, as well as provide service to our senior population, develop skills in landscaping, and see behind the scenes what it takes to be community activists. 

This partnership provides youth in our communities with opportunities to attend Arts & Cultural events. We created t-shirts & wristbands together to show community pride and awareness for our strong community connection. 

This was a pilot program at Perry High School to develop leaders, while educating youth about governance and leadership in their community. The group met 5 days a week during lunch. The youth had opportunities to meet elected officials and provide input into what a healthy, vibrant community looks like. The youth inspire us to build a better community. Perry High School has restarted the program since COVID 19.
